Ahlusion – Bluegrass Burley Review

Continuing with our tobacco week, I decided to throw in a really nice quality NET from Ahlusion. This one is called Bluegrass Burley. Here’s what they say about it:

This is our take on naturally grown air-cured Kentucky Burley tobacco. Our Blue Grass Burley is a warm, rich vape without the harmful ingredients and burnt aftertaste of the chemicals which mask the true taste of tobacco. Absolutely no artificial flavors or sweeteners added.

They suggest getting this at 30/70 VG/PG, but I opted to go 50/50 and 18 mg.

First Impressions

When I first tasted this juice, I thought it was awful and immediately cleaned out my dripper and put the bottle back in my review box. When I decided to do a week of tobaccos, I knew I wanted to pull this one back out and give it another go.

The flavor is very strong, and it is completely unlike any other naturally extracted tobacco flavor I’ve tried. To me, it tastes very green – grassy with some pronounced bitterness. It has a very organic and earthy aroma to it.

At first I really didn’t like the taste, as it is really unusual, but now that I’ve been steadily vaping it, I find myself liking it more and more. This isn’t the first experience I’ve had like this with NETs, which is why I always try to give them ample opportunity to impress me. Sometimes they take a while to grow on you.

The Bottom Line

Taste. Honestly, a lot of people might cringe at the taste of this one. I did it myself at first. This particular vape is more of an acquired taste. It has a very pronounced flavor and it is totally unique. I have never tasted anything even remotely similar to it.  Now that I’ve been vaping it steadily, I have gotten used to the taste and I love it! It really does taste like a fine tobacco, completely raw and unrefined.

True to Description. This is a spot on description. The only thing that is difficult to convey is how different tasting this is from other tobacco vapes. For that reason I think a lot of people are probably going to initially be surprised by the flavor and maybe a little put off.  This ain’t your grandma’s NET.

Throat Hit. I am super glad that for whatever reason I decided not to go with their recommended blend and instead get 50/50. The throat hit is absolutely outstanding on this one at 50/50 and I would absolutely order it exactly like this again.

Vapor. For 50/50, it goes above and beyond. I’m getting huge, thick plumes of vapor out of my YK1 KTS.

Overall. I’m really glad that I gave this one plenty of time so I could come around to it because it is really an impressive vape. This is probably one of the most flavorful straight tobacco flavors I’ve tried, if not the most flavorful. It’s also totally unique. There is really nothing out there that tastes like it that I have tried.

You can really tell the effort that Ahlusion puts into making juices like these. The quality is apparent throughout the vape and it is extremely enjoyable.

This is a great all around juice. For whatever reason, I feel like it is especially good for dripping. I have really been enjoying it a lot in my little dripper – lots of flavor, huge hits, huge vapor.

I would not recommend this juice unless you are really ready to step out of the box and experience a totally unique flavor of tobacco. I am sure that there are going to be people that are extremely put off by the taste as it is very strong, pronounced and in-your-face. If you’re ready to step up from the typical NETs and try something totally different, then give this one a go, it is impressive to say the least.
