Cyclops Vapor: Poseidon Review

There’s nothing like a fresh and juicy piece of melon, and that’s what Poseidon from Cyclops Vapor embodies. Here’s what they say about it:

Our Poseidon premium eLiquid provides vapers with a crisp, delicious fruity flavor combination, pulling together elements from some of the worlds most succulent melon types.  This special 65/35 VG/PG blend pulls together delicate hints of fruits and melons, offering a satisfying decadence akin to the sea when it as at its calmest.

I’ve got it at 6mg running in a Fatty V3 at 1.5ohms, 17 watts.

First Impressions

I was kind of disappointed when I realized this one was at 6mg, but I must say, it hits very well for a 6mg juice – a level that I rarely would get.

It’s got a nice yellow color and is bursting with the aroma of fresh melon.

The flavor is VERY melon-y, and in a good way. I have had quite a few other melon vapes, some which I liked a lot, but this is by far the best melon vape I have had yet. You can’t really easily tell just what kind of melon is in here. It doesn’t have an overt watermelon flavor, which is really common in melon vapes, and it doesn’t have much of a cantaloupe vibe to it either.

The flavor is vaguely familiar – maybe from some kind of candy or drink I had some time in the past, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Whatever it is, it is GOOD. It tastes extremely fresh and succulent. The vapor is THICK and leaves your mouth feeling juicy and with a taste of fresh fruit.

Throat hit is pretty darn good for a 6mg juice. I would probably get it at 12 or 18 if I was going to order again, but I have been vaping away at this one at 6mg with no problems at all.

The Bottom Line

Taste. The taste of this juice is really incredible. It is jam packed with flavor and it’s crisp, refreshing and juicy tasting – it almost has a light tropical feel to it. It doesn’t carry any particular melon trait that is stronger than another – rather it is just smooth and melon-y. This juice is kind of similar to Hobbes’ Blood in terms of fullness of flavor, however it doesn’t carry that overt watermelon taste. It vapes a lot lighter than Hobbes’ Blood, yet the flavor is still very full – so I like the fact that they were able to keep it light while still having a lot of flavor. For that reason, I don’t think I would get burned out on this one nearly as fast.

True to Description. They pretty much nailed this one. I like the fact that they didn’t go into more specifics on what kinds of melon are actually in this vape, because I like guessing – and it really isn’t easy to tell. It really is a beautiful medley of melon and fruits.

Throat Hit. Admittedly I am not a 6mg vaper normally, so it is light for my tastes, but the vapor is so thick that I think that helps give it an extra kick. It really vapes quite well for a low nic juice.

Quality of Vape. This is a complete vape. There is no question about it. The flavor is super full without becoming thick to the point where you can’t vape it for very long without getting sick of it. The taste is light and refreshing, and there are enough exotic notes in here to keep you guessing. The throat hit is about as good as you could ask for on a 6mg juice, and the vapor production is top notch. I don’t know exactly what the PG/VG ratio on this one is, but based on the way it vapes, I would guess it is a high VG blend.

Overall. I was really impressed with the quality of this juice. The flavor is spot on, and will definitely keep you coming back for more. It vapes excellent – no awkward tastes, full vapor, nice throat hit, balanced flavor. Everything you could possibly ask for. If I were going to get this again, I would probably get it at either 12 or 18mg, depending on how much throat hit you are looking for. I really like the fact that they pre-steep their juices so that they are ready to go as soon as you get your hands on them.

Highly Recommended.
