This week I was able to review 10 new juices that will all go head today to separate the winners from the losers. I had a nice variety this week with some nice tobaccos, flavorful fruit vapes and a few surprises.
I finally switched off my Fatty V3 as my primary dripper because it has a slight leaking problem and I really don’t want to mess up my super sick custom DNA30 mod that I am using heavily these days. This week I was primarily using a Foggy Nimbus at about 1.5 ohms with a 1/16th airhole. I tested all of these juices on that configuration and some on other devices as well such as a Kayfun.
On with the battle…
#10 Alice in Vapeland: Zombie Apocalypse
Coming in dead last this week is Zombie Apocalypse from AIV. Here’s what they say about it:
When all is a fog of Strawberry Cupcake-ness . .
You know there’s Zombies in Vapeland!
This one was strange and unfortunate for me. I started off as I normally do by sniffing it in the bottle. Without having any idea at all what this juice was supposed to be, I actually correctly guessed based on smell that it was a cupcake vape.
Once I tasted it, however, I was shocked to find that it had basically no flavor at all. I really hate when this happens because it makes it hard to even write anything about the juice. In this case, however, I think I have it pinned down. I have tried a handful of juices from AIV now. Several in normal sized large bottles – 15 to 30ml, and I have also tried 3 including this one in sample size bottles. All of the juices from them I have tried in large size bottles have been exceptional, and the 3 I have tried in sample size bottles have all been virtually flavorless.
So now I can only conclude that the sample bottles I have are shit. There’s really no other logical explanation I can think of for it. So for now, my review stands because all I have to go on is what I have here. I have to imagine that this juice would actually be very tasty if I got a normal bottle of it. I can now say confidently that I do not recommend ordering samples of anything from AIV.
#9 Seduce Juice: Numbers
Coming in 9th place this week is Numbers by Seduce Juice. Here’s what they say about it:
Numbers is our most complex eJuice yet with over 7 different flavors – it runs a full gamut from citrus to chocolate to savoryness. Give it some time to marry together and you’ll be counting the times you say “YUM”.
I actually put off reviewing this one for a while because I gave it a whiff a while back and it smelled of pure banana. I’ve been pretty burned out on banana flavors lately so I left this one alone for a while.
I finally decided to pull it out and give it a go. I was shocked when I read the description which indicated that this juice’s name comes from the number of different flavors it allegedly contains.
This seemed shocking to me because the only flavor I could really taste at all was banana, and not only that, banana wasn’t even mentioned in the description. I can only imagine how many people have gotten burned ordering this one thinking they would be getting an interesting blend of a variety of different flavors only to receive a juice that tastes like pure banana.
As a pure banana vape, it’s not half bad. It’s about what you expect – kind of tastes like Banana Runts or whatever banana flavored candy you can think of. Beyond that, there was nothing else to it at all that I could pick up.
#8 The Vapor Co: Rasta Party
Coming in at #8 this week is Rasta Party by The Vapor Co. No description – but basically it is a generic weed flavored vape.
This one was particularly disappointing to me. I only put it in 8th this week because it was at least vapable.
First off, no, it doesn’t taste like weed. It tastes like every other weed flavored vape out there. Burns hot and dry, some would say it tastes like pine needles and there’s nothing original here at all. Pick pretty much any weed flavored vape out there and they are basically all like this one.
Second off, I really don’t like the fact that The Vapor Co has been running this $1.99 sale for 10ml bottles for 2-3 months at least now. Throughout that time they have had serious problems fulfilling orders in a timely fashion and keeping certain flavors in stock.
To make matters worse, I got an email from them last week saying that they were going to be getting rid of a good amount of their current flavors and replacing them with all new flavors – with no real mention of what would still be available and what was going to be discontinued.
Basically I have been able to watch first hand as they have displayed the exact wrong way to start an ejuice business and develop a loyal customer base.
I’m pretty pissed that I bought a ton of juice, much of which I still have to review, and as far as I know maybe all of it might not be for sale ever again. It’s a waste of everyone’s time and money. It really makes me not even want to bother reviewing the rest of the stuff I bought from them, and I am going to have a hard time ever spending any money there again.
#7 The Vapor Room: TVR RY4
Coming in at #7 this week is The Vapor Room with their TVR RY4. Here’s what they say about it:
A Vanilla, Caramel, and Tobacco Blend. More of a sweet Caramel & Vanilla base than Tobacco base.
This one was not bad. It has a very strong RY4 flavor on the inhale – strong to the point where it is almost bitter, but not too bad to where you can’t vape it. The exhale is much smoother with a fairly strong caramel presence.
Basically, if you are a fan of true RY4 flavors, you will probably like this one. I think they did a great job of keeping true to the RY4 flavor, while masking it to make it more palatable. I personally don’t think RY4 is that great of a flavor, but in this vape, they really cut the flavor nicely with a rich and slightly sweet caramel burst on the exhale. For someone like me who can barely stand to vape RY4 at all, I actually really enjoyed this one.
If you like good RY4’s, this one is definitely worth a look. Otherwise, probably any dessert vape would be more appealing.
#6 Naturally-Extracted-Tobacco: Gold
Rounding out the bottom half of this week’s battle is Gold by NET. Here’s what they say about it:
Smooth and mild pipe tobacco e-liquid. Just a hint of sweetness, makes for one satisfying vape!
I really thought this one was pretty good. It has kind of your typical NET taste to it. If you’ve tasted a lot of NETs already, then you probably know what I’m talking about. It’s dry, nutty and earthy. This particular juice is very smooth and lighter bodied than some of their other offerings. It also has an interesting warmness throughout the vape that is quite unique.
I think this juice would probably be best suited for someone who is new to NETs and wants to get a feel for what they really taste like without getting something that is going to be too overbearing. This one is very light while still providing a lot of flavor, and it is mellow enough so that you could easily vape it all day long. The throat hit was probably better than the last few I have reviewed from them but still fairly light so I would recommend a higher nic if you care about throat hit.
#5 Azure Vaping: Coconut Cream
Kicking off the top half of this week’s battle is Coconut Cream by Azure Vaping. Here’s what they say about it:
Freshly grated coconut blended with the milk.
When it comes to my personal e-liquid flavor preferences, coconut cream is probably in the top 5 of my favorite flavor profiles. Not everyone likes coconut, so this can be extremely subjective, but for me, I think coconut is one of the absolute best flavors to vape, and it always helps to throw in a splash of “the milk”.
This one was really just OK for me. It smells amazing in the bottle. The inhale, however, does have a fairly strong chemical tone to it which does make it quite a bit less pleasant to vape. The exhale has a lot more coconut flavor – which actually tastes almost like fresh coconut. The best part of the vape is the aftertaste, which to me tasted exactly like coconut cream pie.
If this juice hadn’t had the suspect inhale, it would probably be one of my all time favorites, but unfortunately it is slightly flawed. I still managed almost the entire bottle of it, and I do think coconut fans would appreciate it, but there are better coconut vapes out there.
#4 Cyclops Vapor: Athena
Coming in at #4 this week is Athena by Cyclops Vapor. Here’s what they say about it:
Inspired by Athena the Goddess of Wisdom, Crafts, and War – Our Athena eliquid is a delicious blend of sweet and sour apple in a 65/35 VG/PG formula. This thin, clear eliquid has a very subtle flavor on inhalation with a lingering aftertaste that will bring back memories of handfuls of sour
I have been really impressed with Cyclops’ juices so far because both that I have tried had extremely full and succulent flavor. I was especially interested in trying this one out because I always like a good apple flavor.
Oddly enough, from the smell in the bottle all the way through the exhale, I really thought this juice tasted far more like grape than apple. In fact, if I would have blind tasted it, I wouldn’t have even guessed there was any apple at all. It really just tasted like grape to me.
Now that aside, the flavor is very good. Just like the previous one I tried, the flavor is so strong and juicy it actually seems to make my mouth water. At only 6mg, it was hitting on the light side for me, but for a 6mg juice it was surprisingly satisfying. I personally would probably get this one in at least 12mg or higher if they offer it.
All around, this is a great juice. I had a hard time figuring where to place it because I did find it a little odd that it didn’t seem to taste like apple at all to me, but flavor is subjective so maybe it’s just me. Either way, this one is really good.
#3 Yaeliq: Turkish
Our second runner up this week is Yaeliq with Turkish Tobacco. Here’s what he says about it:
Strong tobacco flavor,
heavy one but very suitable for all day vape.
To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t looking forward to trying this one at all, and I pretty much added it to the lineup this week half expecting it to be dead last before even tasting a drop of it.
I was shocked to find that this juice is actually surprisingly tasty.
It kind of smells like RY4 in the bottle, which is one reason why I probably wasn’t super hyped to try it.
Luckily for me, it doesn’t taste anything like RY4 at all.
It has kind of a very light, woody flavor on the inhale. The exhale is very rich and slightly sweet and tastes like caramel to me. It does have a very slight smokiness to it – mostly after the exhale, but it is there a little bit.
I really don’t think it tastes anything like Turkish tobacco, but regardless, it tastes very good. This one is for sure the best tobacco I have had from Yaeliq so far. I think it would be suitable for just about anyone due to the mellowness of it, and for the price, I actually think it would be a pretty good one to get in a large bottle. It’s just a nice, good tasting juice.
#2 ECblends: Bahama Mama
Coming in at second place this week is Bahama Mama from ECblends. Here’s what they say about it:
The Bahama Mama is a fruity cocktail with the smooth flavor of Mango, Pineapple, Piña Colada, Orange and Rum!
A drink that will whisk you away to a tropical resort in one sip!
This is a great tropical fruit flavored juice that has a lot going on to keep you interested.
I personally found it easy to pick out the Pina Colada, Pineapple and Mango. I didn’t get a ton of rum or orange from this one, but with all the flavors melding in this one, I wouldn’t be surprised if they start popping out the more I vape it.
All around, this is a pretty standard tropical fruit/pina colada flavor, however I really like the added pineapple and mango notes, and they are subtle enough to make you wonder if that’s even pineapple or mango you are tasting, but they pop enough to let you know that SOMETHING is definitely there.
I tried this juice in a variety of different devices and it performed really well across the board. This juice also had the best throat hit of anything I tried all week. I was testing at 60% PG and 18mg nic. It was more than good enough at that level and I would order it again confidently just like that.
This is a great go-to tropical vape.
#1 Sleeping Dragon Vapor: Mt. Blastmore
This week’s winner is Mt. Blastmore from Sleeping Dragon Vapor. Here’s what they say about it:
Our take on a popular soda flavor. Gonna be hard to put this flavor down.
Mt. Blastmore is a take on Mt. Dew Baja Blast. If you’ve ever tried Baja Blast, it’s kind of hard to actually describe what it tastes like but basically it is similar to regular Mt. Dew with an added kick of “Baja”. Whatever that may be.
Whatever it is, this juice tastes just like the real thing. Not only that but the flavor is crystal clear and quite strong. So strong that at first I thought it might be too strong for me to really vape for a long period of time, but after about a half hour of running this through my Nimbus I was totally hooked. I have killed almost the whole bottle over the last week and enjoyed every drop.
I have tried several other Mt. Dew clones but this one really stands out above the rest. What I really like about this flavor is the clarity of the flavor and the consistency. The flavor is super strong, but crystal clear and tastes exactly like the real thing. It’s actually pretty refreshing to vape. Additionally, the flavor is totally consistent. From the smell in the bottle all the way through to the aftertaste, it tastes and smells exactly the same. It just does not get any more consistent than that.
If you like Mt. Dew and haven’t tried a Mt. Dew ejuice yet, I would definitely recommend giving this one a shot. If you’ve already tried Mt. Dew juices and not been terribly impressed, then this is the one for you. I just can’t see any way a Mt. Dew juice could get any better than this.
The Bottom Line
There were some very clear winners and losers in this one. While I really didn’t think the bottom 5 were that great this week, all of the top 5 were quite good, with the top 2 in particular being juices I would totally order again. It has been probably almost a year since I tried a new Mt. Dew vape and I was absolutely blown away by the quality of it. ECblends has continued to impress me with 2 strong showings in a row. After I blasted Yaeliq’s juices about a month ago for not being that great overall, he has now had a string of top 5 appearances. Keep in mind that it is basically random how I am selecting these.
At any rate, I’ve got another 10 lined up and I PROMISE I really am going to be dropping a ton of new product reviews and tutorials this week so stay in touch.
