Nirvana Vapor: Vedic Vanilla Review

vedic-vanilla

Ok this week I’ve got the opportunity to try out a second vanilla flavor. The victim is Nirvana Vapor’s Vedic Vanilla. Here’s what they say about it:

Vedic Vanilla: If you have tried other vanilla’s and thought they were weak, THIS is the Vanilla for you!!! Vedic Vanilla packs a serious vanilla punch! Some say it has a vanilla icing taste to it! You have to try this one!

I’ve got this one at 18mg in a 50/50 blend.

First Impressions

This juice has a very dark brown, almost black color in the bottle and smells lightly of vanilla.

Basically I will get the elephant in the room out of the way first thing. This week, I also reviewed Vanilla Cloud by Twisted Cigs, and found it to be one of the best vanilla flavors I’ve ever tried. To put it bluntly, this juice doesn’t even come close to Vanilla Cloud.

Basically what we have here is a fairly basic vanilla flavor. I personally find that it is clouded with extra unrelated notes, doesn’t particularly have a strong vanilla presence in general, and while it performs pretty well, there isn’t much special about it.

The Bottom Line

Taste. The inhale starts out with kind of an unusual vanilla flavor. You can definitely tell it’s vanilla, but it has a strong undertone that is somewhat artificial tasting and almost fruity.  The vanilla flavor gets kind of muddled and doesn’t come through particularly well. The exhale is more smooth and doesn’t have as much of the artificial undertones, but it still is quite light on vanilla. Across the board, I think the taste is fairly week, not particularly accurate, and just OK. It’s definitely not gross or anything, but I have tried some amazing vanilla flavors and this one doesn’t hold a candle to them.

True to Description. I don’t blame them for hyping this one up, but for me, it didn’t live up to the hype at all. I actually thought it was quite weak in terms of how well the vanilla came through and there’s really nothing special here at all. In fact, I think you would likely do better with a cheaper, more mainstream option like a vanilla from MBV.

Throat Hit. The bright spot with this juice is that the throat hit is quite good at 18mg. I would have no problem ordering it again at this nic level based on the throat hit.

Quality of Vape. The throat hit and vapor are both pretty good. The flavor, for me, really detracts quite a bit from the overall quality of the vape. It’s light, not particularly natural tasting, and doesn’t have a very full finish.  It’s definitely vapable, but really not a particularly great all around vape.

Overall. I do kind of feel bad that this one happened to be evaluated during the same week where I also evaluated a truly excellent vanilla vape, but on the same token, it also helped me to draw a stark contrast between the two, and identify that Vanilla Cloud is clearly the superior of the two, and it isn’t even close. To me, this is basically a very average juice. While the performance is pretty good, the actual vanilla flavor is really not very good, and it tasted far too artificial to be that enjoyable. It’s one of those juices where you will probably have no issues polishing off the whole bottle, but you won’t be likely to order again.

Not Recommended.
