Bananas and cream… Normally an amazingly good flavor in real life, this combination has been tough to correctly nail down as a vape flavor. Today I’ve got Bombies’ Nana Cream. Here’s what they say about it:
A creamy and smooth mixture of delectable fruits.
I’ve got it at 18mg in a house blend.
This juice has a loud yellow color to it, and looks incredibly thick. It smells of fruit in the bottle.
The biggest thing I immediately noticed when I tasted this juice is that it really doesn’t taste like bananas or cream much at all. I mean there’s a little banana in there, but compared to most banana vapes where the banana tends to steal the show, this one isn’t even close. It also isn’t particularly creamy in any way.
After reading the description and a few reviews on their site, I found out that this is more of a fruit medley – odd because it’s named Nana Cream, which seems to indicate bananas and cream, but whatever…
The flavor is decent overall – it’s fairly similar to their Seven Seas, another fruit vape I tried last week.
The juice is quite thick, and I find myself getting dry hits on it much faster than on any other liquid I’ve run in the same setup since I’ve had it built. It does hit well at 18mg, however, and it puts out a really nice cloud.
The Bottom Line
Taste. There’s really not a hell of a lot to it. It has a really strong and full fruit flavor. It doesn’t taste of any particular kind of fruit to me – in fact, I barely even taste any banana at all. If I really stretch, I can kind of get some hints of banana, but mostly it tastes like a bunch of candy-like fruit flavors melded into one kind of generic fruit flavor. It tastes pretty good, although there really isn’t anything special about it at all. Probably the best thing about the flavor is that it is really rich and succulent. It doesn’t vape dry at all – and actually kind of leaves your mouth watering.
True to Description. I’m sorry, but I really don’t agree with the concept of creating a juice that is a fruit medley and then naming it ‘Nana Cream, when there is very little ‘Nana or Cream at all in the vape. Luckily the actual description does indicate that this is a fruit medley, but I still don’t really see the point in naming a juice a different flavor combination than it actually is. So as a fruit medley, it’s pretty true to description. As a banana/cream vape, it’s not even close. I honestly don’t even get a slight hint of cream from this vape, and I don’t get much banana to speak of either.
Throat Hit. I was pretty pleased with the throat hit on this juice. I’m running it on a Vaporshark DNA30 with a mini RDA dripper using a .6 ohm twisted kanthal coil. It does seem to go dry on me pretty fast, but when it’s nice and wicked up it hits very well and puts out plentiful vapor.
Quality of Vape. Overall it’s just OK for me. It does hit good, although it tends to quickly go dry on me, which makes it more of a pain in the ass to vape. The flavor is very full and definitely doesn’t leave you feeling like you’re lacking anything, but it isn’t a particularly great tasting vape anyway. It’s basically a generic fruity-candy vape in terms of taste. The one thing that is really nice about it is the juicyness of it, but beyond that it’s really nothing special.
Overall. After being underwhelmed by Seven Seas last week, I was pretty disappointed to find that this one tastes almost exactly the same. There’s nothing really wrong with it, but I can’t easily pull out any individual flavors from it, and there’s nothing that really wows me about it. This one is definitely long on hype, short on substance.
