ECBlend: Vanilla Gorilla Review

vanilla-gorilla

When I first picked this one up, I was expecting the “gorilla” meant there would be banana, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this one is banana free. Here’s what they say about it:

Vanilla Gorilla® – Mix of Vanilla and Toasted Marshmallows

I’ve got it at 18mg in a 50/50 blend.

First Impressions

This juice has a dark brown color and smells faintly sweet in the bottle.

Basically this one tastes like a fairly typical vanilla to me. Smooth and light, with some artificial hints on both the inhale and exhale but not enough to necessarily ruin the vape. I found the throat hit to be quite light at 18mg, which was somewhat disappointing, and the vapor production is about average.

The Bottom Line

Taste. Really from inhale to exhale there’s not a lot special going on. I get a light, smooth vanilla flavor on the inhale with a fairly noticeable artificial taste alongside it – I have reviewed many vanilla vapes and this seems to be fairly common with vanilla, and while I don’t ever care for artificial taste, it isn’t too terrible with vanillas in this form. The interesting thing is that it leaves a nearly spot on toasted marshmallow taste in my mouth afterwards that is really quite delicious. I wish that I could taste the marshmallow as clearly during the vape as the aftertaste, because it is quite nice.

True to Description. It is pretty true to being as described. I get a lot of vanilla during the vape. The marshmallow is there and tastes remarkably accurate, however I truly don’t taste it at all until the aftertaste which is kind of a shame because it’s a really nice and interesting flavor.

Throat Hit. I would say this one hits below average for an 18mg juice. It’s probably got just enough pop that I could still vape it regularly, but it would be a bit of a stretch for me.

Quality of Vape. The flavor isn’t bad, but it does have some artificial taste involved which can make a difference, especially depending on your tolerance to it. Overall, though, it is a fairly nice flavor and an excellent aftertaste. The performance wasn’t particularly good for me. Vapor was OK, but throat hit was really below average for where I would like to see a 50/50 blend at 18mg.

Overall. Sounds great on paper, however the finished product doesn’t quite live up to the billing. I really wish the toasted marshmallow came through a little better during the vape because if it did, I think they would really have something special. As it is now, it’s basically a pretty average vanilla flavor with a slightly sub par throat hit. If you were to order this, you would almost surely finish the bottle, however I think there are many better options out there – including many from ECBlends.

Not Recommended.

Hey! I think your posts are great. For once, your not just one of those guys who hypes up a product or a company just to receive free juice& products but lies through their teeth to keep the perks that go along with it. Thank you for your honesty and your integrity. It keeps people from buying stuff that is junk. I just received Atmomaxani’s 3D and your tutorial helped a lot. I got the “Dome” and the deck is a little perplexing. Could you do a quick post about the best setup and explain the deck design. Supposedly there is flow control and other things and I’m clueless. Thanks for services and enjoy the week. I also have a local store that has some of the best juices around – would u do a review on them if I gave you their contact info? Thanks, Drew Burman (andrewburman49@gmail.com)
