Smokecignals: Limeade Review

If you hadn’t guessed the theme of the next Juice Battle yet, it’s going to be Smokecignals juices. Today I’ve got their Limeade. Here’s what they say about it:

Sweetened limes for the perfect afternoon drink. Add your favorite flavors to this mix, or have it plain.

First Impressions

This juice has a translucent yellow color and smells light and sweet in the bottle. I’ve got it at 18mg in a 65/35 blend.

I was really looking forward to trying limeade as I absolutely love lemon and lime flavored vapes, and this was looking like it would be a nice change of pace for me. I just finished running a full bottle of Starship 1 through my Aqua, and decided to give this one a shot to see how it performs in a tank.

I can say with certainty that this juice doesn’t perform anywhere near Starship 1, which I spent about 3 straight weeks vaping in my Aqua and never had a single problem with. Here’s the deal with Limeade – the flavor is light, and it’s not particularly potent. After vaping it in a tank for a while, it started having an almost cosmetic-like taste – like the way that makeup smells.

While it’s not horrid or unvapable, I can definitely see a marked difference in quality and I was pretty disappointed by a juice that I had initially expected to be really good.

The Bottom Line

Taste. It’s light, it’s sweet. It kind of tastes like lime, but not very strong. There isn’t a really nice acidic citrus quality to it, and for me that is really what disappointed me. I like the nice acidity of a really good kick of lemon or lime. This one just came off as flat and generic candy-like.

True to Description. This juice can definitely pass for a limeade, I just don’t think it’s a very good one. I really expected a lot more “pop” out of it, as is usually the case with a GOOD citrus vape and this one basically fell flat for me.

Throat Hit. Overall the throat hit is OK on this one. The Starship I had been previously vaping in my Aqua was also 18mg, and I feel that this juice has slightly less of an edge to it. Still good enough to be vapable, but not the best.

Quality of Vape. In general I was really disappointed by this vape. The flavor was light, and not really what I was hoping for. The throat hit was OK, but not the greatest either. All around, this is a passible juice but not much more than that.

Overall. I could probably keep vaping this if I wanted to, but I have a lot of other options available and this one just simply isn’t good enough to keep me interested. As high as my hopes were, Limeade just didn’t pan out for me this time.

Not Recommended.
