Moon Mountain Vapor: Buzz Berry Review

buzz-berry

It’s been quite a while since I reviewed a MMV juice. Today I’m bringing them back into the fold with their Buzz Berry. Here’s what they say about it:

Fusion of three berries, Blueberry, Razzberry with a hint of Blackberry

I’ve got it at 12mg.

First Impressions

I’ve actually come full circle on berry vapes. I didn’t like them much at all when I first started vaping, likely because I hadn’t tried any really good ones yet. Now that I have tried a sickening number of berry vapes, I have a much deeper respect for them and actually vape a variety of different berry flavors fairly regularly. So I am a lot more open to them now than I used to be.

Buzz Berry has a deep pinkish purple color and has kind of a generic berry scent to it in the bottle.

The flavor is pretty underwhelming. It kind of reminds me of some kind of fruit snack or something like that I had in my past. I really don’t taste any particular kind of berry, rather it’s just a sweet pinkish berry flavored medley. The very end of the inhale brings a fairly strong floral/perfume note that I really don’t care for and it almost makes this vape taste medicinal.

The Bottom Line

Taste. It’s not terrible, but I have had many berry vapes that are far better than this one. For one thing, there really isn’t anything special about this juice. The inhale and exhale feel fairly disconnected. While both carry kind of an indiscriminate berry flavor, it differs as the vape progresses.  About midway through the vape, it starts to develop a kind of perfume/medicinal taste that really isn’t particularly pleasant, although it doesn’t entirely ruin it either. All in all, this is maybe an average flavored berry vape at best.

True to Description. I wasn’t really impressed with any of the flavors in this juice. I couldn’t easily pick out actual different berry flavors. They all kind of meld together in an artificial, candy-like way. While it definitely does taste like some sort of berry flavored candy, it really doesn’t taste like real berries whatsoever.

Throat Hit. It hits OK at 12mg, but it’s nothing to write home about. I don’t really care for the flavor, and the throat hit isn’t good enough to make me want to vape it on performance alone.

Quality of Vape. It vapes OK. The throat hit is decent, vapor is pretty good, flavor is OK. The flavor could be a lot more full. It is a little on the dry side and just doesn’t give you a very complete vaping feel. Some of the best berry vapes I have had have a very juicy quality to them that almost makes your mouth water as you vape it. This one is very dry and really feels like it is missing something, so I didn’t really care for the overall experience.

Overall. This isn’t really a bad vape. It is just painfully average. I suspect there are probably tons of other middle-of-the-road berry vapes out there I have yet to try that are very similar to this. It just doesn’t have any kind of WOW factor to help differentiate it from a crowded field. Either a juicier flavor, or maybe a creamy finish could have gone a long way in making this one a little more exciting to vape.

Not Recommended.
