Smokecignals: Chai Review

Anyone who follows my reviews at all likely knows that I’m a tea snob, and I’m always looking for new tea flavored vapes to try. Today I’ve got a Chai blend from Smokecignals. Here’s what they say about it:

Tea and spices to heighten and enlighten. This is a delicate blend of tea, cinnamon, clove, ginger, and cream for a delightful hard-day’s-end vape.

First Impressions

This juice has an orange tone to it and smells light and spicy in the bottle. I’ve got it at 18mg in a 65/35 blend.

I finally got in my Hades Stillare-style atomizer for my Hades mod, and I got it rigged up with a 0.4 ohm dual twisted kanthal coil setup. This kind of setup isn’t quite as intense as it would be on a Duke, but still produces a lot of vapor, a hell of a kick and it has a pretty airy draw to it.

The Chai juice seems to be a perfect fit. I’m getting strong, flavorful hits and I’ve been happily vaping on this setup for 2 days now. I get a nice even chai flavor -not too heavy handed on any of the spices, and a subtle cream finish to smooth the whole thing out.

The Bottom Line

Taste. The flavor is really quite good as far as Chai vapes go. It’s quite spicy, as it should be, but not overwhelming. There is a very subtle cream finish that helps tie all the flavors together and smooth everything out. It has very balanced flavor from start to finish and no unwanted aftertaste anywhere throughout the vape.

True to Description. As Chai vapes go, this is probably one of the better ones I’ve tried. In fact, most of the other ones I can remember trying in the past were way too heavy handed on the clove. Clove is an important ingredient in chai, but it is so strong that using too much can quickly overpower the other flavors and make an otherwise tasty vape turn into a mouthfull of clove.

Throat Hit. The throat hit at 18mg is spot on with this vape. It has just the right amount of kick and stays strong no matter how long you vape it.

Quality of Vape. The flavor is very accurate and quite full. The cream is there but doesn’t overpower the other components in the vape and acts as a nice compliment to round everything out. Performance-wise, it is spot on in every area.

Overall. This is the most memorable chai flavor I have tried so far, and I have to say, I like it more and more as I keep vaping it. There’s really not a lot else they could have done to make this one any better. If you’re a fan of chai or spicy vapes, you will definitely appreciate this one.
